A new feature is a large flat water section behind a breakwater of concrete rubble. When the breeze is East around to South, a big flat water area is available. The water is shallow out 300+ yards.

Easy 45 minute drive from New Orleans. Take I-10 East. After you get into Mississippi take Exit 2 towards Waveland. Turn at Sliver Slipper Casino Sign. Follow signs to Beach.
Extra information
This is possibly the best beach for beginners near New Orleans. Other launches are available, but are more sketchy.

New Orleans, Waveland and Bay St Louis Ms offer significant places to get stupid at night.
