Large saltwater lake, ideal for beginners, no waves, shallow water, no sharks!

Not really a beach, grass down to waterline. Usually someone is there to launch/catch your kite. Good setup area.

Best direction: South to Southwest. Strong westerly winds in winter. All year round spot, especially in winter when winds are offshore on coastal beaches.

Take Toukley exit off freeway North from Sydney 1hr20mins.

Total respect for safety, locals are friendly. Note that when wind is onshore, if things go wrong you can be quickly dragged into children's play equipment, trees, a road and power lines.
