Big, clean waves. Lots of surfers and kiters together in a small location. If you are not staying upwind and riding safely with control the lifeguards can call all kites off the water. Expect locals to approach you and discuss your skill if they do not know you.

Gusty winds. South winds are fickle, W or NW winds are strong and steady and usually start around 11am. The place is a light wind spot so bring your big gear. During summertime thermal winds building up at 11am. Cold fronts are responsible for winds in fall and winter. Usually best in fall, winter and spring.

Not a beginners beach. Many surfers and kiters share a small area. Do not kite there if you are not sure what you are doing. Talk to locals before you get on the water.
