Works good with E and W winds. At the Bodensee suddenly storms can hit. Therefore a storm warning system has been created, using orange flashing lights, and ships put up a balloon on the mast. Look out for these signals to avoid getting into problems. Best with westerly depressions. Towards the East the wind becomes lighter.

From Konstanz west to Allensbach. Here get to the Seepark. A direct access is closed from May until end of August.

You need a special license to kite here during summer (1. April to 1. September). 25m is the maximum line length allowed. You have to be able to stay upwind to kite here. Watch the boat traffic and the people on land. The space is limited to the east by the camping ground Allensbach, and to the West by shipping Baumann.
