The reef is about 1km offshore so inside the water is generally flat to slight chop, outside the reef you have the swell of the Indian Ocean to play with. The lagoon out to the reef can be shallow in places at low tide, has the flattest water but watch out for the sea-urchins underfoot. Mid to high tide is fine.

50-100m wide white sandy beach. There's a tree line next to the beach but no real problem.
