Wind is this location is hit or miss. There is a huge rock face (600+ feet) less than a mile onshore, so when you have onshore (W, NW, WNW, NNW) even though there are no obstructions to create a wind shadow you get a pressure buildup between the ocean and the massive cliff which allows for no more wind to fill in.
