Shark Bay can be choppy, but with sideshore wind nice and flat when wind picks up to 20+. Real waves are formed, nice and smooth. Flat to choppy inside reef area, 200 meters out reef with breaking swells. Can get large on reef, but rather rare. Little to no tide impact. Wind is sideonshore to waves. Tide about 2m difference. At low tide some rocks can be just under or outside the water surface. Ask locals where they are located at.

10km long, sandy beach. The beach is not too wide, but absolutely safe to launch, with high tide you will be close to some dunes but no problem. No shells, stones, or other irritating materials, just great soft golden sand.

The Northeast trade wind, always blowing: picks up around 11am, very steady, seldom gusty, constant winds from 18-24 knots. Best winds from November til miid of June due to the NE trade winds. Steady 3-5 Beaufort. Usually the wind doesn't get stronger then 6 Beaufort, but therefore very steady like nowhere else in the world.

From airport to St Maria is 20min and from there you will need a car (off-road) to the spot. Some terrain must be crossed to the spot, driving from the airport you will see kites on the left approx 10 min drive from the village.

Be careful not to go to close to the rocks. Make sure you're safe since medical staff and help is not common on the islands. As far as sharks concern...been there for a few months - did not see one.
