The entire length of this spot has a segmented stone break wall about 50 yds out from beach to prevent erosion. This creates flat-ish water segments separated by waves coming through the openings in light winds. With 20 knots or higher west winds the waves / chop will be big and pounding over the break walls.

Do not launch or land anywhere near a lifeguarded area (swimmers, beachgoers) Park Rule. There is tons of space so find some of your own. Plenty of driftwood on beach but its pretty easy to find a clear area.

You can snow/ice kite on the bay if it freezes solid in the winter.

Wind

January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November, December
Wind Type:
Frontal
Best Direction:
N, NNE, NE, SW, WSW, W, WNW, NW, NNW
Main Direction:
WSW

NW is directly onshore. SW and NE are side shore. Rarely people kite on the bay side on a South wind. I can't recommend this as the wind quality and launch sites will be bad. But if you are desperate maybe.
