This is a section of beach that is relatively unregulated. Cars are allowed on the beach making for easy unpacking. The swimmers and beach goers tend to stay near the entrance to the beach. Boats and kiter use the far end. On windy days the beach is often empty with the exception of kiters. You can drive up and down the beach to get picked up if you just want to head down wind. Two access points 3/4 mile down and 1 mile down make this beach a great place for those just starting to wind surf. 2WD cars OK: dense, hard beach sand.

Steady winds, 12-30+ knots. Gusty in spring and fall, summer with afternoon thermals. Best wind is North. When the wind is out of the West the small bay is protected until you get out past the point then it really takes off. South wind is a serious problem because it is off shore. Ideal wind is North West 12-20mph. You stay protected in the small bay but as you head west the winds pick up.
