There are 2 spots/bays near Eselek, a wave spot (1-1.5 m chops) on the left side and a flat water spot (good for lessons, strong offshore wind) to the right side of the village.

The beach is nice and there is soft sand. There is a dune where you can put gear not in use. The shelf is good and there is no rocks or threes. There is enough space for landing or safety launch.

Good in any northerly. According to the legend the name of Imbros comes from ancient Greek and means 'Windy Island'. Because of this it is also a suitable place for windsurfers and kitesurfers.

You have to fly into Istanbul. Then with a bus to Canakkale. Take the ferry, which goes twice a day to Gokceada. When you arrive you must go to Eshelek. This is a village 10 miles from the port of Gokceada. The beach is 1 km near by Eshelek.

Hotels are available at the on-shore beach or in Gokceada-city. In the village near by, there are a lot of offers for guests-rooms (AC/no-AC). Or you can stay camping with a caravan or tent at the on-shore beach.

Nightlife

The nightlife is on the island main-city, at the old harbor and even at the windsurfer's beach. These are more developed touristic places. Summer-time while high season you can get to concerts, have drinks at beach-bars and enjoy some light nightlife.
