No waves, just flat water with chop in stronger winds. Big shallow area, depending on tides.

On low tide you have lots of hard sand, on high tide the water level comes up to the reeds.

Frontal winds usually from SW. Best from April to June.

From Anchorage drive southeast on 1 to Girdwood and keep driving along the river for about 8 miles until you get to the river mouth.
