Very nice flat water. On low tide it can get very shallow in some parts, but on high tide huge shallow area all the way to the sandbar.

Small, sandy beach. Not much space. The sandbar can be very packed on weekends with boats.

Main wind directions: East and Northeast. From these directions the winds are very steady. Be careful with thunderstorms and squalls. Always keep watching the sky. Works also in SE, SW and S winds. In W, N and NW (offshore) winds get to the sandbar with a jetski etc.

From Miami drive down to the Florida Keys. Get onto Windley Key and just before the bridge onto Islamorada turn left on mile marker 84 to the oceanside at Holiday Isle. Park more to the left and get to the Rum Runners beach.
Extra information
Kitesurfing banned at the isle, go south over the bridge to Whale Harbor.
