During summer (June to August) you usually have a nice thermal wind (10-20knots) which starts to blow from beginning of the afternoon (with the tide) up to the end of the afternoon. Direction is usually West to Northwest in the afternoon while it's East in the morning. September to October is the blowing season with depression bringing strong wind up to 35-40 knots. Direction is usually West to Southwest.

From Bordeaux drive south on N10 and follow signs west to Soustons and further west towards Vieux-Boucau-les-Bains. Before you reach the village, turn left to the golf club and drive on Avenue de la Petre, then south across the bridge and further west to the ocean. Long walk.
