Choppy with Levante (East), waves with Poniente (West) which can be up to 3m (mainly winter and spring). Depending on tide and direction of wind, there can be a small lagoon, which is nice for beginners or flat water tricks. High frequented spot. Further south reef plates in the water, creating nice waves.

The wind changes from Poniente (West) to Levante (East) in general every few days, guess the best rate can be up to 60-70% days with more than 4 Bft per month in summer. Best direction is definitely ESE. When wind is forecasted from East, it's possible that the wind will come to the beach (ESE). During summer nice thermal wind, up to 20 knots, and start in the afternoon at around 2pm and lasts to almost sunset.

From Tarifa to Cadiz after 6-7 km on the left side there is Playa Valdevaqueros. Follow the small dirt road at the signs Valdevaqueros. At the end of the road you can park for free and only a few meters to the beach. A car is needed if you don't live next to the beach.

Zones, Time

In the summer July and August, theres is limited Kite and Windsurf zone. Respect the small swimmer's zone marked with yellow buoys.
