Sharp shells that will cut your kite if dragged. Numerous hazards near shore but plenty of room to launch. Aside from the shells there are several pilings to avoid and the occasional uprooted tree branch. River access with grass rigging area.

Exit I-95 at exit 101. Go on 76 east to Monterey turn right. Take to the end turn right again on to East Ocean Blvd. Go across large bridge, turn left at the traffic light on Sewalls Point Rd. Go North about 1.5 miles on right to US Sailing Center.
