Talamone is the north edge of a large bay surrounded by hills; the spot is at the end of a hill channel which amplifies the thermal wind. During warm periods (May to September), sideshore wind from the right side is almost on a daily basis, about 5 days a week 12-20 knots, but gusty. S, W and SW winds work well when a weather system is around.
