Drive through Sligo on the dual carriageway. Pick up signs for Rosses Point and follow them. After about 5 miles you get to Rosses Point village. Keep following the road until you come to a T-junction outside a golf course. Turn left, and then follow the road around to the right to reach the beach.
Rules |
Zones |
Rosses Point is covered by the new by laws in Sligo. You cannot kite in a lifeguarded area. The lifeguard area extends from the first beach (near the car park) to half way down the second beach (near the big buoy stuck in the sand). If in doubt, ask one of the lifeguards on duty, they are nice people. This restriction applies when a lifeguard is on duty, ie. June to September.
