White sand. The beach in high tide is not too broad but still good room to launch between the beach restaurants. Choose the barraca in where kiters are riding. Preferably leave your valuables at the barraca, the streets near the beach can be dangerous and prone to propitiate assaults. Park always in front of the barraca and if no car, take a taxi and order one when leaving.

Extra information
Kiting forbidden on Sundays! Beware the area, there's a Favela (poor ghetto) near, anyway, if you do right nothing bad should happen.
Nightlife
Great nightlife in Fortaleza.
