No tide. Big shallow area. The water is flat and with stronger winds choppy. In strong winds you can have small but nice waves on the sandbar, specially with NE wind. In summer lots of seaweed can be a hassle, specially for windsurfers. Small stones up to 5m into the water, walk carefully.

Beach

Type:
Sand, Stones
Size:
Small
Hazards:
Bystanders
Beach Users:
July, August

Small sandy beach with small stones. In summer it gets very pact with windsurfers, kiters and sunbathers. Kiters should watch out during summer for seaweed, which easily gets tangled in the lines causing problems at the launch. It's a surfer's beach, but do not go onto the beach north of it, behind the fence.

Best Months:
March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November
Wind Type:
Thermal, Frontal
Best Direction:

Main Direction:
SW, WSW, W, WNW, NW

Winds can vary a lot. Best winds in autumn and spring. Great days in summer with East wind. East wind can get accelerated and be stronger as on other beaches. SW is gusty. The launch can be tricky and very gusty if the wind comes a bit sideoffshore.

During season you have to pay for parking.
