Dry season: nice (5-8ft), rolling swell from the East, Northeast. Heading almost directly into the swell on starboard tack. The swell can translate into a difficult shore break when the tide is up. Choppy water when windy (no reef).

It is clean sand. At high tide some spots can be difficult to launch but you can find a safe place within a short walk. Sandy beach that stretches for about 15 km between the town of Phan Tiet and the village of Mui Nei. Further north beyond Mui Nei many more uninhabited sandy beaches.

Fly to Saigon/Ho Chi Min, 220 km northeast from Saigon. Arrival with tourist bus leaving from Pham Ngu Lao Backpacker's Street, 2-3 times a day. 6 hours by bus, 5 hours by car transport that can be organized by the different resorts operating in Mui Ne.
