The tide and current are quite strong and waves can be up to 2 meter. The water is choppy. It is a beach break. A couple of jellyfishes in the water.

Beach is very long (about 7 miles) and quite wide so no problem to launch or self launch. White sand is most of the place with some bushes. On the beach you can drive with a 4x4.

In summer time is very good temp (air is 30°C and up) water is about 25°C, so no wetsuit needed, maybe in wintertime a 3mm can be useful.

From Brisbane drive south on M1 and N1. About 25km south of Byron Bay. Drive in to Lennox Head and you will see the beach. With a car or bus, stop at the baywatch post. Get your gear rigged and rip.
