Perfectly flat. It´s the river meeting the sea. Normally the beach is closed creating the lagoon. Once a year during rainy season (February to May) the lagoon has too much water and the water breaks through to the ocean. Then the lagoon is too shallow to ride on it and also gets dry. Be careful with rocks in the water who have very sharp shells on it. They are in the middle of the lagoon closer to the beach. It's recommended to wear shoes.

You can ride the lagoon or the sea as a sand beach of 50m wide separates them, there´s no problem for launches as there´s nobody there except on weekends but only at the downwind side of the lagoon.

On weekends can be locals sunbathing and/or swimming on the northern side of the lagoon, better try working days as the lagoon is not too big, to avoid possible accidents and access restrictions. Be very careful with the stones with shells in the water, they are very sharp. Make sure to wear shoes if kiting there. Watch your belongings, not the safest area.
