You should expect the water to be a bit cold - you will definitely want to bring your 3-4 full wetsuit for summer and winter.

The season is best in summer - from mid October to April, the rest of the year is very inconsistent. The best winds come from the South and hit the spot sideshore, any other wind direction is probably unstable and weak. The wind range is between 15 and 30 knots, though it can get stronger but is not very common.
