Summer is nice and warm. High season a shorty is ok, a few weeks with just shorts is possible. Usually a wetsuit is always needed. Water max 22°C in summer, normally around 15°C. Winter gets cold, but a thick wetsuit, gloves, mask and shoes make kiting almost year-round possible. Air: summer between 20-30°C, spring and fall around 15°C.

How to get there

Transport
Car
Access
Medium walk

From Eckernfoerde drive east on L26 (Waabser Chaussee). Turn right on signs to Karlsminde and drive all the way to the water. Enter the camping if you want to camp there. You can also park in front of the camping and walk to the beach which is quiet long. Best is to drive westwards from the parking and find the access to the water. Look out where you can park and access.
