During spring and autumn with wetsuit, during summer shortarm or shorty. A wetsuit is necessary nearly all over the year. The water is between 5-20°C (spring to summer), air temperature is in the average 18°C (in summer) and can go up to 30°C. If you have the adequate wetsuit you can surf from April to November. Off-season is possible but very cold.

Kiel the capital of north Germany is easy to find. Then take the 502 along the coast in direction of Fehmarn and you will see signs to Kalifornien. Go left in the round about and follow the street all the way to Kalifornien and you will see parking signs and parking lots (fee).
