Summer is nice and warm. High season a short is ok, a few weeks with just shorts is possible. Usually a wetsuit is always needed. Water max 22°C in summer, normally around 15°C. Winter gets cold, but a thick wetsuit, gloves, mask and shoes make kiting almost year-round possible. Summer between 20-30°C air, spring and fall around 15°C.

Short walk

Take A20 and take exit `Kroepelin/Kuehlingsborn`. Follow the street to Kuehlingsborn. In Kuehlingsborn follow signs to Kuehlingsborn-West and then to Neubukow. Keep driving to Bastorf and turn right when the street makes curve to the left. Follow the street towards the water and in the next curve turn right and drive downhill. Drive into the village and follow a small road to the water. Parking is on private ground, which you need to pay (quiet expensive). Coming on B105, drive in Neubukow towards Rerik/Kuehlungsborn. In Bastorf drive like described before.
