July, August |
Quite a smallish beach, shared with launch site for little yachts and other fishing boats dragged up onto the beach. At spring high tide, the beach disappears. The beach also has several segments created by large drain pipes or concrete walls running out into the sea. Luckily, not too many people here, if, go further up the beach where there's less obstructions.

From La Rochelle, take the bridge (toll of about 16 Euro) and follow signs to Phares des Baleines (means `lighthouse of the wales`). Once you get to the lighthouse, it's a little bit off to the right hand side if you're facing the sea.
