Lagoons on high tide becomes flat and shallow at low tides. It gets a little choppy as the tide comes in. Best at low tide when the sandbar emerges on the outside and the water is butter-flat. As soon as the tide creeps up towards the groynes it's time to pack up and head round to Old Hunstanton.

The beach is right in the town so there's all a wall at the foot of the beach. The sand can be a bit mucky at times but generally not bad. Theres a few shells but not enough to worry about. Plenty of launch space at low tide and usually somebody about to help. No beach at high tide.

English weather could be anything from 30°C in summer to below freezing in winter. We can usually sail through winter in a 5mm booties and gloves and shorty in summer.

Sign posted from King's Lynn. In King's Lynn drive north on A149. Exit at Hunstanton Beach. Very easy to find as Hunstanton only has one beach and it runs alongside the town. Sailing Club car park is £4 (free to members of the sailing club). Alternatives are the Oasis swimming pool car park or the car park behind Oceanside.

Nightlife

There are a few pubs in the town to have some good nights there. No clubs but the pub on the front stays open till late.
