Extra information

Rules
Fees, License

The beach divided in two by a seawall. The left side (as seen from the sea) is managed by a kiteschool and after paying a fee you can use all facilities and services or just surf on your own, but you need to have an IKO license. If you don't have an IKO license you can get it from the IKO instructors at the school. The right side offers the same flat water, shallow and sandy bottom and is managed by another school. There is no fee and you can ride as much as you like. Most local kiters ride on this side which gives it a friendly and helpful atmosphere.

Nightlife

Akyaka is famous with its wild nature and it is under protection of Special Environmental Protection Project by government. There are a few bars by the seaside in Akyaka and some local restaurants by the creek but life is not so much exciting for party fans. Try Marmaris at night (28 km).
