Behind the beach there is a playground on a dam. You can pump up your kite there, but it is not recommend starting the kite at the playground, it's too dangerous.

North is onshore but can be good for kiting. If there is probably not enough wind in North Germany, Gruener Brink is one of the spots with the most wind. At easterly winds it is very crowded. Best winds from fall to spring. Any strength possible, depending on depressions. Summer lighter. Nice easterlies possible, but not very often. This beach is best in E and NE, mainly in summer, then you will have perfect conditions.

Warning: to the west is a national park in the water! It is absolutely forbidden to kite there. There are warning signs in the water and on the beach and even the extension from these two signs is the border. Please make sure you don't pass them.
