Very open beach of small stones with grassy rigging area close to the car park. Best part of the beach is at the rugby club car park at the southern end of the beach road.

75% northerlies and 15-20% southerlies. Eastbourne does not work in true South to Southeast conditions. The wind is very unstable in those conditions and cross offshore. If there is too much West in the wind direction the wind can become unstable too because of the hills/mountains just inland.
