The island is max. 5km long and max. 1.5km wide. You will find sandy beach in the NE, NW and south of the island. The NW has a nice sand spit with lots of space.

The island can be ridden with any wind direction, however on the main beach area that everyone goes to, during the SE wind direction, it will produce gusty offshore wind. Best time to ride at Fishermans Beach is during the Northwesterly wind season where wind is on/cross on shore wind.

You can get there only by boat from Port Moresby. The NW sand spit is a perfect place to anchor and ride. You can also kite there, on a nice long downwinder, from Ella Beach or Sero Beach during the Southeasterly season.
