Dahab is surrounded by mountains and desert, the climate is dry and the temperatures during the summer months can reach as high as 39°C during the day while the nights are much cooler.

Dahab is located on the eastern Sinai coast of Egypt on a branch of the Red Sea called the Gulf of Aqaba. North of Dahab is the Egyptian towns of Nuweiba and Taba and to the South Sharm-el-Sheik.
