Flat to choppy water. Behind the spit on low tide very flat water on any direction, rideable on both sides. Shallow areas. Can get stinky in mid to late summer when there is a lot of sea weed. Be careful with the tide the spit goes all the way to the light house and almost disappears on higher tides.

The wind has to be flowing right up or down the bay. Best directions for cleanest winds: N and S. This place usually gets a good funneling effect and you can pick up an additional couple knots.

Take the T.F. Green Airport exit off I95. Follow road 117 (W Shore Rd) to the East until you see Conimicut park signs. Enter the park and drive to its end where you can park.
