Small shallow area, about 50-100m. With Poniente flat water. If there is a good swell coming with Levante, this beach gets very nice line ups with waves up to 2.5m high. But then only for experienced riders.

Beautiful, quiet beach. Very long beach with clean sand. About 100m wide. Be careful with animals (horses) running around this beach.

Sideonshore with Poniente wind. At one point to the right it can be gusty with bigger wind holes. Less strong winds here than in Tarifa with Levante. Levante is gusty and strong between 15-30 knots normally but some days 40 knots. The Levante blows here almost as strong as in Tarifa. Poniente (West wind) is perfect for kitesurfing with 8-20 knots. During summer thermal west wind with up to 20 knots starting from about 2pm.

From Tarifa drive on the highway towards Cadiz. Exit at signs Bolonia. The small road takes you directly to the beach. Free parking.

Time

Kitesurfing and windsurfing is banned in Bolonia in the summer months. During the rest of the year go to the south of the beach.
