Average temperature is 30°C, water 27°C. Wetsuit not needed. Thailand is a tropical country with its typical high temperature all year round. 25-30°C in the cold season, 35-40+°C in the hot season and 30-35°C during the rainy season. Humidity is always high, even though it's easier to bear during the cold season during which the sun shines. The rainy season (September to October) is characterized by scattered heavy showers now and then everyday, cloudy weather almost full time.

Arrange transportation from Bangkok to Pattaya (many alternatives from the USD 2 equivalent public bus to a private taxi from the airport for anywhere from $20 to $40 one way). Pattaya is approximately 150 km (about 2 1/2 hours) from Bangkok on Sukhumvit. The Blue Lagoon is located at Sukhumvit 155, look for a large blue sign with white print. Huge building at the beach.
