North Sea choppy conditions, sometimes real waves (mostly wind waves). With Northwest storms we have the biggest waves, lot of current with high tide, no rocks in the sea. With changing tides some flat water to get speed, then jumping like hell on the waves. Long pier to the west side.

Big, sandy beach, nice soft Sahara sand, not to much shells, no rocks, grass, concrete. In spring, fall and winter enough space to launch and land a kite everywhere on the beach but in summertime when hot you have to do this at the sail club because of too many people on the beach.

Fun in fall and spring with 5/3 wetsuit, in summer you can wear shorty. Surfing the whole year possible, but temps can get below zero. Water temp. 2°C in cold wintertime and 22°C in hot summertime.

Depression winds, in summer we can have a sea breeze when hot. In fall and spring we have an average of 10 good days a month with good wind direction and speed). When the direction is offshore we go to France or the Netherlands (1 hour driving). Best wind conditions in spring and fall. In summer you can ride bigger gear.
