Best season is from November to April, when El Norte blows on the Cortez Sea. El Norte can reach 25+ knots. As it is a almost closed lagoon, wind directions are not an issue. When El Norte is not blowing the wind is often 10-15 knots and extremely consistent making it an excellent place to learn to kiteboard. The locals say the wind is often 15 to 20 knots in the summer.
