The beach is approx. 2kms long. The beach is very large, the only real hazards are the locals crowding around you and your gear. They have never seen kiteboarding before, so they come out from everywhere to see you. Very friendly just need to watch your valuables as with anywhere else you go.

Short walk

Unfortunately, the local airport is closed and you can only reach Bagasbas by land. The travel options are as follow: 1) You can fly to Naga from Manila and then hire a taxi/get a bus to Daet. Travel time overland from Naga to Daet is between 2 to 3 hours. 2) You can take a bus from Manila to Daet. Several companies ply this route (including DLTB, Philtranco and Superlines). The approximate travel time is 8 hours. This journey can be made as comfortable or as uncomfortable as you like, depending on your selection of bus, and the price will vary accordingly between about 600 and 2000 PHP. Once in Daet, you can get a tricycle (of which there are many) to get to Bagasbas. This is approximately a 15 minute ride.

Extra information

Rules
None

There are no fees or anything, just one thing, the local fisherman sometimes do some drag nets off the beach, just avoid them. Recommend that you get in touch with the local kiters for some local knowledge and guidance. They are a good bunch of lads. Note that, even though Google indicates that Mike's Kites is still there, it is no longer open for business.

Nightlife

Nightlife in Bagasbas is pretty chilled. Some good, cheap places to eat and drink; however, they generally close before midnight. Several karaoke bars are located along the beachfront as well, in case that is your thing. In Daet, there are a few more options available including some live music. Just be aware, however, that they cater mainly to local tastes and budgets - therefore, if you are expecting good cocktails and an expensive gin selection, you will not find it here either.
