Waves can range from 1-2.5m in fall/spring and 3-5m in winter. The southern pier produces nice glassy rollers that can provide 10 bottom turns per wave. The northern pier can get big and will spit up head and half to double over size walls that will close out quick. Hence the nickname: David and Goliath.

In winter you will have more days that you can't kite because there is too much wind as opposed to not enough. When it's blowing over 30 knots it's best to use this spot as a downwinder as you will not be able to hold point.
