While you can kite right out in front of Dumaluan Beach, there are usually a ton of kids swimming right there and some pump boats parked downwind near the Dumaluan Beach Resort to take people diving. Sometimes, you can even catch some waist to rib-high waves in front of South Palms. It looks like nothing from the beach, but once you get offshore, there can be bigger swells if you get lucky. It's by no means a wave spot and is excellent if you're looking for flats.

Dumaluan Beach is probably the busiest public beach in Bohol due to its paid parking lot, beach bungalows for barbecuing, two restaurants, volleyball net, and karaoke machine. Walk west up the beach towards the Bohol Beach Club and South Palms Resort where there are less crowds.

Dumaluan Beach and the beaches just west of it (towards Alona) to be excellent options during the Habagat season (from about April to November) when the wind mostly comes from the Southwest.
