No beach to walk back with kites up. Easy walk from hotel row beach 1km (1/4 mile) south. Launch area north of the beach to sailing club has grass lawns to lay kites out.

Summer lake temps hit 70°+ F. Mid October fall water temp 50°F and dropping. Freezes south end, north end mostly open til Feb. In March the lake opens with 50°F and rising in April.

Great to kite, wind depending. Spring and fall North winds are best. Most wind over 15 knots are out of NNW. Southern winds usually lighter but can be kiteable with larger sizes. Summer hot flat water with occasional later day blow-out from the North.
