The beach is quite long with soft sand. Onshore winds be careful as the beach is not so wide, but no obstacles. Always pay attention, though.

Winter water temp is in the low 70's°F (23-24°C). Springtime is beautiful - maybe a heat seeker if winds from a cold front. Summertime can be very hot and buggy, and afternoon rainstorms likely.

Generally speaking, winds are strongest and most consistent in the winter, but in the winter they are generally NE. NW winds, good here at MacDuff's, are frontal. Spring good winds, too, through April/May. Summer wind is typically SE and thermal: picks-up in the afternoons. The beach at MacDuff's faces NW; but there is a beach just on the other side of the island (about 100m) with a SE exposure.

Very small island, all nightlife is local, MacDuff's Bar and Grill. Most of the people here are quite fun and do love their happy hour!
