Water is generally flat (little waves). Murvagh is much flatter than any of the spots surrounding such as Rossnowlagh or Tullan Strand! When the tide is out it is waist deep for a couple of hundred meters.

Murvagh is easy to get to and is located on the main Donegal to Sligo road (N15). Travel on the N15 out of Donegal Town and look for signpost to Murvagh Beach and Golf Club. After taking this turn beach is signposted from here on.
