In summer the waters in the lagoon can get up to 23°C and be as cold as 17°C. A shorty or 3/2 summer suit is all that is required.

Plenty of wind and you can ride most days in the week. Sideshore winds from the left in summer and the right in winter. SE winds are the norm for summer with NW's in the winter. Our season runs from September to April, with plenty of riding in the off season.

Take the R27 North for 100kms and get to Langebaan. At the third stop street, turn right and follow the road round until you hit the water. Rent a car or use the JoJo bus to get there.

We have waves down wind at Mykonos and on the Atlantic side have one of the best waves for riding on the coastline, Swartriet. The water there is not so warm. Winter brings big waves.
