Extra information
The city of Dallas sold the park and the property is now privately owned. The area is gated and locked. There is access on a limited basis if you can get in touch with a local kiter. No beginners please - dangerous rocky launch. Ask around for times when we'll be kiting to get help dialing in this precious and only good south launch in the D/FW area. Look out for fishing lines (and rotting bait by the bucket) and sudden drops in the wind leaving you to self rescue down wind or walk your kite back up the crowded beach. For North days in fall and winter go to The Power Plant or Terry Lane. Windsurfers launch downwind of the kitesurfers.
