Strong rips on the left side of Sunrise Beach, depending on the tide. During low tide small reefs can appear on the water surface or a bit below. Some glassplinters are on the beach. Shallow for about 40m.

There is a small peninsula at the north end of Sunrise Beach, which, depending on the tide, is bigger or smaller. Enough space for launching and rigging. Due to stones and reef shoes are recommended.

Fly from Bangkok to Hat Yai. Public bus or Minibus from Hat Yai to Pak Bara. Ferry from Pak Bara to Koh Lipe. The spot is at the northeast end of the island, to the very north end of the Sunrise Beach. All year ferry and speed boat service to Koh Lipe.
