The dominant wind is the Tramontane, no other wind has really a chance against it. It is a wind which blows from Northwest. This wind is created by an anticyclone over the south west of France and a depression over the Mediterranean. When the Tramontane blows it normally blows very strong. Statistics say that there are 300 days a year with a wind over force four. The other wind direction is the Marin which blows from SE.

Medium walk

From Marseillan drive southwest to Agde and then east to Marseillan-Plage. Here take Avenue du Soleil northwest and then turn right onto Avenue de Maldormir. Drive a bit and turn left onto Chemin de Beau Rivage. Follow this road along the lake and where the street turns away from the water park and walk a bit to the launch.

Walk along the waterline to the launch spot, do not step on land. Signs show the prohibited area, natural reserve for birds.
